Performances.
His career is a linear succession of successes achieved step by step – albeit at supersonic speed: He ranks third in the Körung of Westfalen in 2001 and third in the performance test with an overall score of 8.33 and 10.0 in the free jump. . It was presented in the first courses in 2003 by Ludger Beerbaum and Marco Kutscher. It is under the saddle of Marco Kutscher, that Cornet Obolensky qualifies for the German Young Horse Championship at the age of 5. The following year he devoted himself exclusively to reproduction and then made his international debut at the age of 7 with successes in the Yougster Tour of Arezzo, Lyon, Aselage and Hachenburg. In 2007 he proved his skill in Mechelem and Münster, definitively placing himself among the big names in show jumping. At 8 he won in Grand Prix and Nations Cups. Wins the Samsung Super League final twice in Barcelona. Followed by the bronze medal at the German championships and first place at the Balve and Cervia Grand Prix and at the Nations Cup in Rotterdam. Hence his entry into the German Olympic team for Beijing 2008. After a break due to injury in 2010, he is once again the protagonist on the big competition fields, winning among other things team gold at the European Championships in Madrid.

With more than 50 horses approved for riding by the various stud books, Cornet Obolensky is confirmed as one of the most important breeders for show jumping. In 2008 a record number of 20 horses descended from Cornet Obolensky entered the German Young Stallion Championships. At the Bundeschampionat he is confirmed as the best father with the first classified in the 5 years and the second classified in the 6 years. With 168 points Cornet Obolensky ranks first overall in the genetic index ranking of all jumping stallions in Germany. In reproduction, the DNA of Cornet Obolensky is available through the sons Cornado II Z, Colestus (from Stakkato), Comme il faut (from Ratina Z) and Cristallo I (from Cassini I), also through the grandsons Sir Obolensky Z and Comilfo Plus Z .
His pedigree is a mix of the greatest names in equine breeding: Clinton and Nimmerdor’s son, Heartbreaker, the grandfather of Ludger Beerbaum’s spectacular Zinedine stallion.
The third sire is Randel Z, like Ratina Z a cross between Ramiro Z and Almé Z. Randel Z is also sire of Cicero Z and Cortes C, the best horse in the final of the four of the WEGs in Normandy, the only one with zero errors in all four routes!
